Gail Lea (Cummings) Johnston

Gail Lea Johnston, nee Cummings, of Spanish Lake, Missouri passed away peacefully while sleeping on Saturday, July 8, 2017.

She was born December 25, 1949 in Rolla, Missouri to Robert "Bud", Sr. and Lea (Jones) Cummings. She was united in marriage to Ralph Johnston over twenty years ago.

Gail was very proud of her Scottish heritage and decided to purchase a plot of land in Scotland, so she could call herself "Lady Gail of Glencoe." She was so pleased to be a country girl and never forgot where she came from. In her 50's, she went sky diving for the first time, a memory she never forgot.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lea Cummings.

She will be sadly remembered by her husband, Ralph Johnston of Spanish Lake, MO; her father, Robert "Bud" Cummings, Sr. of Steelville, MO; four sons, Colin Brady of Fenton, MO, Patrick Brady and wife Emily of House Springs, MO, Robert Welsh of Viburnum, MO and Gene Welsh and wife Erin of Tupelo, MS; one brother, Rob Cummings and wife Mary of Steelville, MO; one sister, Robin Cummings of the country of Thailand; seven grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

The Family received friends for a Memorial Gathering from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Inurnment was in the Steelville Cemetery.
