William Coleman Obituary

William Joseph Coleman of Cherryville, Missouri, age 22 years, 6 months and 24 days, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 in Steelville. William was born July 30, 2001 in Rolla, Missouri and raised by his mother, Retta Coleman Russell and Gary Lee Russell.

William grew up around Cherryville and always loved to fish and hunt anything he could, such as deer, turkey, rabbits, squirrels and wild hogs.

He had attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church.

William will always be remembered by his family for his kind and sweet heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Lee Russell; maternal grandparents, Bill “Joe” and Mary Coleman; and paternal grandparents, Vernita Mitchell and Gary Lloyd Russell.

He is survived by his mother, Retta (Jeff Asher) Russell of Bixby, MO; brothers, Lorenzo McGee, DeShawn Haney, Jamyron Willis, Noah Russell (Shauna Usher), Dawson Russell; 2 sisters, Lacey Russell (Joshua Neely) and Kevionna McGee; 2 nephews; Aubree and Kade McGee; paternal grandmother, Ellen Russell of Ironton, MO; 7 uncles, Robert “Bob” (Carol) Coleman of Cherryville, MO, Rodney Coleman of Columbia, MO, Billy (Dena) Coleman of Steelville, MO, Randy (Brittany) Rebura of Wright City, MO, Ricky Rebura of Mansfield, MO,  Ronnie (Heather) Rebura of Nixa, MO and Curtis McGee of Houston, TX; 6 aunts, Noma (Ron) Burkholder of OK, Mary (Butch) Brown of Bentonville, AR, Carol Thielemann of Cuba, MO, Tracy Case of Herman, MO, Bonita (Mike) Lottman of Union, MO and Misty (Larry) Harmon of Cherryville, MO; other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Morton officiating. Special music of "Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Everyday", "Brother", "Give Heaven Some Hell" and "Save a Place for Me" was played.

The funeral service was Live streamed on Facebook on the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home page.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, MO. Honored to be casket bearers were Richie Turnbough, Trevor Payne, Kendal Campbell, Lucas Vuichard, Keith Schmidt and Talon Johnson with Lorenzo McGee as honorary.

The Coleman Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
