Ada Marie (Halbert) Walls

Ada Marie Walls, nee Halbert, was born Wednesday, November 24, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to Horace and Leona Adams Halbert. She passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 80 years and 11 months. Ada was united in marriage to James "Jim" Walls in 1956 at Wesco, Missouri and to this union three sons and one daughter was born.

Ada was a faithful member of the Viburnum First Baptist Church for over fifty years. She always enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and making quilts. In earlier years, Ada always loved being outdoors in her vegetable garden and later when she gave that up she could be found taking care of her flower garden. She and her husband, Jim, spent many hours making woodcrafts of yard ornaments in their spare time and attending craft shows in the area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Walls; daughter, Tammy Jones; two brothers, Darrell Halbert and wife Brenda and Horace Halbert, Jr.; sister, Lucille Arnold and husband, Earl; brothers-in-law, Leonard Fudge, Charlie Smith, Jerry Walls and Davy Walls; and sister-in-laws, Agnes Cook and Betty Walls.

She will be sadly missed by her three sons, Jim Walls and wife Donna of Viburnum, MO, Larry Walls and wife Sandra of Davisville, MO and Tim Walls and wife Connie of Belleville, AR; son-in-law, Bobby Jones of Festus, MO; brother, Harold Halbert and companion, Vickie Chymiak of Cuba, MO; sisters, Anna Mae Fudge of Steelville, MO, Rosalie Koehler and husband Robert of Tacoma, WA, Fay Elkins and husband Harley of Belle, MO and Mary Smith of Cuba, MO; sisters-in-law, Christy Halbert of Cuba, MO, Arnetta Walls of High Point, MO and Shirley Halbert; and brother-in-law Alvin Walls of St. Louis, MO; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.

The Family received friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Justin Perry officiating. Special music of "Old Rugged Cross", "In the Garden" and "Go Rest High" was played.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery.

Honored to be casket bearers were Marc Slade, Brad Slade, Jimmy LaChance, Terry Hale, Dusty Modde, Nathen Benson, Scott Selle and Kyle Selle.
