Anna Lee (Jenkins) Asher

Anna Lee Asher, nee Jenkins, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 in her home at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 17 days. She was born March 15, 1927 in Marceline, Missouri to Paul and Anna Bailey Jenkins. In June of 1957 at Cherryville,  Anna was united in marriage to Fritz Asher.

She enjoyed many hours working with needlepoint, cross-stitch and embroidering in her spare time. Anna always loved being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Joy Ranae Asher; one brother, Bill Jenkins; brothers-in-law, Paul Bowen, Randy Asher, Billy Asher, Johnny Asher, Ronald Asher and Louis Dicus; and sister-in-law, Louise Solis.

Anna will be sadly missed by her husband of fifty-nine years, Fritz Asher of Steelville, MO; one daughter, Carol Ann Harrawood of Steelville, MO; two foster daughters, Sheila Marie Asher Abbott of Port Orchard, WA and Patricia Ann  Polston of MO; two sisters, Jean Jones and husband Carlos of Herman, MO and Glydys Bowen of Swiss, MO; three grandchildren, Shannon Myers of High Ridge, MO, Wendel Harrawood of Steelville, MO and Melanie Messner of De Sota, Mo; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law, Robert Asher and wife Wanda of Cherryville, MO; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Jones, Judy Dicus, Karen Sikes and husband Rob and Lindel Asher all of Steelville, MO, Cathy Tucker and husband Brian of Salem, MO, Wanda McMillen of Silsbee, TX, Tina Asher of Springfield, MO and Linda Dodd and husband Bill of Cuba, MO; other many relatives and friends.

Anna's wishes were to have her body donated to the University of Missouri at Columbia.

A joint visitation was held at the Hutson Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
