Beverly Kay (Barnhart) Setzer

Beverly Kay Setzer, nee Barnhart, of Davisville, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 in her home at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 7 days. She was born July 28, 1954 in Licking, Missouri to Jack and Jean Moses Barnhart. Beverly was united in marriage in April of 1971 to Radis Setzer, the love of her life. They were blessed with a son and a daughter and later in years God blessed them again with six children of whom they adopted. Five of them were adopted on Beverly and Radis' 35th wedding anniversary.

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-laws, Bill Setzer, Lloyd Setzer and wife Lisa, and Delbert Setzer and wife Rita; and sister-in-law, Judy Setzer.

Beverly attended the Viburnum Christian Church. She was an amazing woman who was filled with much love to share and did so by caring for over a hundred and thirty foster children along with her husband. Beverly enjoyed being outside and doing yard work. She spent many hours cooking big meals for her family and canning many quarts of green beans. She loved the laughter of her children and her grandchildren.

Beverly will be sadly missed by her husband of almost 47 years, Radis Setzer of Davisville, MO; five sons, Johnny Setzer and wife Lisa of Viburnum, MO and Trey, Jesse, Zachary and Harley Setzer all of Davisville, MO; three daughters, Jamie Boushie and husband Clay, Alexis and Mercedes Setzer all of Davisville, MO; six grandchildren, Alexis, Tara and Danielle Boushie and Jackson, Johnna and Noah Setzer; her parents, Jack and Jean Barnhart of Hagerman, ID; two brothers, Stanley Barnhart and wife Sherry of Buell, ID and Justin Barnhart and wife Shelly of Parkston, SD; two sisters, Carolyn Bloxham of Hagerman, ID and Gina Jones of Davisville, MO; brothers-in-law, John Setzer and wife Martha of Overland, MO and Howard  "Sammy" Setzer of Mooreville, IN; nieces and nephews, special niece, Stacy, Janie, Jake, Andy, Emily, Shawn, Lance, Frank, Shelly, Bobby and Tyler; other relatives and many friends.

The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 with Rev. Harrison Brown officiating. Special music of "Build My Mansion" was sung by Carol Coleman accompanied on piano by Shirley Brown, "God on the Mountain" was sung and played on guitar by Anna Gibbs and "If You knew Where I was Standing" was sung by Kevin and Kim Abney with Kevin on guitar. Memories were shared by grandson, Jackson Setzer.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Sellers Cemetery, Dillard, MO. Special music of "Amazing Grace" was played on bagpipes by Rob Bowness.

Honored to be casket bearers were Trey, Jesse, Zach, Harley, Mercedes, Jackson Setzer and Jack Barnhart with Noah and Alexis Setzer as honorary.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
