Hallie Sue Gregory, nee Medley, of Farmington, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 89 years and 8 days. She was born in Viburnum, Missouri on April 20, 1928 to John and Rebecca Richardson Medley. On November 21, 1953 in Hernando, MS, she was united in marriage to Carlton Gregory who preceded her in death.

For several years, Hallie attended the Lookout Assembly of God Church in Viburnum and Davisville Assembly of God. She worked at Brown Shoe Company for several years. For over thirty-five years, she contributed to the Davisville News for the Steelville Newspaper.  She and Carlton always enjoyed visiting with friends and family and in their younger days would go camping. She enjoyed cooking and making crafts. Hallie loved seeing and being with all of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carlton; one grandson, Matthew Gregory; one brother, Jesse Medley; five sisters, Marie Summers and husband Bill, Bessie Oliver and husband Bill, Laura Coplin and husband Esco, Dora Midyett and husband Corby and Gracie Medley.

Hallie is survived by her two sons, Daniel Gregory of Cuba, MO and Steven Gregory and wife Barbara of Watertown, WI; one daughter, Sandra Chilton and husband Rick of Farmington, MO; seven grandchildren, Jeremiah Gregory, Gregory Chilton and wife Sara, Ashlee Chilton, Taylor Chilton, Steven Richard Gregory, Ryan Mueller and Meghan Mueller; one great-grandson, Jeremiah Gregory, Jr.; one great-great-grandson, Matthew Gregory; other relatives and friends.

The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Dan Hartley and Rev. John Ripley officiating. Special music of "Where the Soul Never Dies", "I Don't have to Worry", "Just in an Instant" and "Beulah Land" was sung by Bob and Carol Coleman. Other music of "My Son's Plead" was sung by Larry Bridgeman.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Davisville Cemetery, Davisville, MO.

Honored to be casket bearers were Gregory Chilton, J.D. Gregory, Kerry Summers, Sr., Kerry Summers, Jr., Floyd Medley, Justin Medley and Chris Johnston.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
