Helen Rosetta Brown of St. Louis, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the age of 91 years, 3 months and 26 days. She was born February 17, 1927 in East Prairie, Missouri to Clarence Dewey Pepper and Bessie Bise Pepper. On April 15, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Harrison Franklin Brown and to this union two daughters were born.
Helen attended the Salvation Army Church for a number of years. She enjoyed being a housewife and a mother throughout her adult life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Rodney Pepper, Tommy Pepper and Sidney Pepper; two sisters, Merlene Riley and husband Bill and Pat White and husband Dean; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Howard Brown and wife Virginia, Walter Brown, Ed Brown and wife Nellis, Harold "Bud" Brown, Harry Brown and wife Delpha, Edna Hutson and husband Santa, Mabel Green and husband John and Mercide Quinton and husband James.
She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Teresa Brown and Tammie Marrah both of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren, Ryan Slankard, Katie Marrah and Cynthia Marrah; one great-granddaughter, Ruby Brame; other relatives and friends.
The Family received friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Harrison Brown officiating. Special music of "One Day at a Time" and a medley of Heaven songs was sung by Bob and Carol Coleman.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.
Honored to be casket bearers were Ryan Slankard, Mike Reynolds, Dwight Brown, Gary White, Dion Capriglione and Bob Coleman.
The Family was served by the Brittoon-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
