Joseph "Joe" Wayne Price

Joseph "Joe" Wayne Price of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St.Louis at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 2 days. Joe was born November 5, 1944 in Harrisburg, Arkansas to Arthur Lloyd Price and Myrtle Lucille Dill Price. He was united in marriage to Clara Mae Payne Hoerstkamp on September 17, 2017 in Sullivan, Missouri.

Joe attended Cave Springs Baptist Church at Spring Bluff, MO. For twenty-one years, he worked for Harry's Tires in Sullivan. From 1993 to 2008, he and Clara owned Town and Country Tire in Cuba, MO. Joe enjoyed watching stock car racing especially when his step-son raced in Farmington and Montgomery County. He also enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Myrtle Price; sister, Marie Juarez; half-sisters, Faye Scott and Bonnie Henson and husband Don; five half-brothers, Leroy, Luther, Walter, Elzie and Harvey Price; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Counts; step-brothers-in-law, Ben Littrell, Clarence Williams, Roger Hyatt, Harold Stufflebean, David Jarvis and Gene Jay; and step-son-in-law, Brad Faulkner.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Clara Mae Hoerstkamp Price of Sullivan, MO; three daughters, Alison Tourville and husband Bryan of Sullivan, MO, Corrie Epperson and husband Joe of Washington, MO and Carrie Price of Killen, TX; two twin brothers, Freddie Price of Harrisburg, AR and Eddie Price and wife Diane of Jonesboro, AR; two sisters, Kay Roberts and husband Emmitt and Diane Wheeler all of Jonesboro, AR; one step-son, Jack Halbert and wife Karen of Sullivan, MO; four step-daughters, Joanna Apprill and husband Jeff of Herman, MO, Sherry Ulsh and husband Gary and Carrie Lang and husband Kenny all of Sullivan, MO and Carla Faulkner of Fenton, MO four grandchildren; fourteen step-grandchildren; eighteen step-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Quincy Scott of Georgetown, IL, Ron Juars of Jonesboro, AR; Arnold Payne and wife Yuni of Leslie, MO, Jim Payne and wife Carmen of Rolla, MO, Roger Payne and wife Norma of St. James, MO, Kenny Payne of Sullivan, MO, Geraldine Littrell, Carol Hyatt, Joyce Stufflebean and Deloris Jay all of Rolla, MO, Pauline Williams of House Springs, MO and Donna Jarvis of Salem, MO; other relatives and many friends.

The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Bryan Dixon officiating. Special music of "In the Garden" and "Go Rest High" was played. Memories were shared by Cody Counts.

Committal prayer and interment were in the IOOF Cemetery at Sullivan, MO.

Honored to be serving as casket bearers were Bradley Tourville, Ross Halbert, Kaemyn Halbert, Jonathon Apprill, Cody Counts, Brandon Lang, Kenny Lang and Draven Faulkner with Chase Counts serving as honorary.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
