Laura Jane Studdard, nee Bridgeman, was born August 29, 1935 at Berryman, Missouri to Willie Calvin Bridgeman and Opal Milburn Bridgeman. She passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 10 days. Laura Jane was united in marriage on November 1, 1952 in Pea Ridge, Missouri to Lawrence Franklin Studdard, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2016.

Laura Jane attended the Living Christ Holiness Church at Ebo, MO. She was a dedicated mother and wife who took care of her family spending time cooking, canning and making salt-brine pickles which everyone loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Franklin Studdard, Sr.; one brother, Jesse Bridgeman; two sisters, Marie Mercer and Joyce Clonts; son-in-law, James Robb; three brothers-in-law, Tracy Studdard and wife Violet, Charles Studdard and wife Marie and Harold Studdard; and three sisters-in-law, Zelda Bailey and husband Robert, and Frances and Rilla Studdard.

She is survived by her three sons, David Bridgeman and wife Annanell of Potosi, MO, Lawrence "Frank" Studdard, Jr. and special friend, Fern  and Cornelius "Neil" James Studdard all of Sullivan, MO; four daughters, Bonnie Lamkey and husband Vernon of Cherryville, MO, Mary Nelson and husband Larry of Sullivan, MO and Beverly Robb and Lisa Junge and husband Randy all of Bourbon, MO; one brother, Roy Bridgeman and wife Linda of Sullivan, MO; three sisters, Imogene Brown of IL, Helen Blakey and Velma Boyer and husband Andy all of Sullivan, MO; sister-in-law, Nellie Studdard of Sullivan, MO; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

The Family received friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Pea Ridge Pentecostal Church in Pea Ridge, MO.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Pea Ridge Pentecostal Church in Pea Ridge, Missouri with Rev. Tom Campbell, Rev. Amiel Bridgeman and Larry Nelson officiating. Special music of "When we All get to Heaven", "The Baby", "When I Cross that River", "I've Got more to go to Heaven for", "I'll Fly Away", "Going Home", "Had A Vision of Heaven", "New Shoes" and "In the Garden" were sung respectively by Bonnie Lamkey, Annanell Bridgeman, Liz Pyatt, Amy Frago, Amiel Bridgeman, Bro. Tom Campbell, Emma and Becky Frago, Hailey and Anna Pyatt, Bethany Bridgeman, Amber Turner and Bob and Carol Coleman with accompaniment by Bob Coleman on guitar and Liz Pyatt on piano. Other music of a recording by Grandma Laura Studdard "I'll be Alright" was played.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Reedville Cemetery, Pea Ridge, MO.

Honored to be casket bearers were Nathan Robb, Jimmy Robb, Dustin Robb, David Bridgeman, Jannelle Rust, Jonathan Bridgeman, Amiel Bridgeman and Austin Strange.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
