Madeline Carol (Wilkinson) Brandt

Madeline Carol Brandt, née Wilkinson, of Lakeland, Florida passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 in Florida at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 13 days. She was born April 24, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Fred and Wilma Minks Wilkinson. Madeline was united in marriage on March 19, 1983 in Lakeland, FLorida to Jeff Michael Brandt.

Madeline was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed traveling to Europe and especially Italy, Germany and Ireland. Madeline also enjoyed baking and cooking for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Wilma Wilkinson; two brothers-law, Everett Phipps and George Cotton; special nephew, Jeffery Phipps; and father-in-law, Dale R. Brandt.

Madeline will be sadly missed by her husband of thirty-four years, Jeff Brandt of Lakeland, FL;  one son, Rodney Wayne Volner and wife Mary of Lakeland, FL; one grandson, Christopher Volner of Lakeland, FL; one brother, Fred Wilkinson, Jr., of Cherryville, MO; two sisters, Evelyn Phipps of Cherryville, MO and Beverly Cotton of Cuba, MO; mother-in-law, Joyce Brandt of Lakeland, FL.; four brothers-in-law, Scott Brandt, Brian Brandt and fiancé Jackie, Todd Brandt, and Shawn Brandt and fiancé Kim all of FL; other relatives and friends.

The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO with Rev. Harrison Brown officiating. Special music of “The Holy Hills”, “Beulah Land” and “Eastern Gate” was sung and played by Bob and Carol Coleman accompanied on piano by Shirley Brown.

Committal prayer and interment were held in the Martin-Trask Cemetery in Cherryville, MO.

Honored to be casket bearers were Everett Phipps, Christopher Volner, Eric Blaise, Darrell Phipps, Adam Phipps and Bob Coleman.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
