Mildred "Mick" Delores (Martin) Graddy

Mildred “Mick” Delores Graddy of Steelville, Missouri formerly of Cherryville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Life Care Center in Waynesville at the age of 95 years, 3 months and 6 days. She was born March 13, 1924 in Cherryville to Charles and Lula Jane Ennis Martin. She was united in marriage to Harold Graddy on July 19, 1952 in Pocahontas, AR.

Mildred worked in St. Louis at Independent Packing Company for several years. She and her husband later moved to Cuba in 1960 where they owned a Cuba restaurant and eventually started a fish farm and snack bar right outside Cuba. Mildred loved to bowl and she and Harold were members of a bowling league for several years. She also along with her family enjoyed playing country music on her guitar.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Graddy; son-in-law, Edward Black; four brothers, Champ, Cebe, Nute and Gene Martin; six sisters, May Martin, Delight “Lady” Stringer, Stella Dotson, Beatrice “Beadia” Butts, Alice “Tookie” Kallmabah and Lillian “Punk” Barnicle; and step-grandson-in-law, Jack Barnes.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Mary Lee Black of Richland, MO; four grandchildren, Rita (Brian) Rucker, Angela (Steve) Price, Douglas (Elizabeth) Black and David Black; three step-grand-daughters, Deborah (Michael) Kane, Pamela (Bob) Love and Teresa Barnes; six great-grandchildren, Brandon Rucker, Amanda (Matthew) Sanders, Jennifer (Shane) Brown, Steven (Erin) Price, Zachary Black and Alayna Black; three great-great-grandchildren, Braelyn Sanders, Audrina Brown and Ashton Brown; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Coleman officiating. Special music of "Peace in the Valley", "How Great thou Art" and "You are my Sunshine" was played.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Schweider Cemetery.

Honored to be casket bearers were Douglas Black, David Black, Steve Price, Shane Brown, Brandon Rucker and Sonny Turnbough with honorary bearers, Steven Price, Zachary Black and Brian Rucker.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
