Patricia Ann Massey, nee Byerly, of Kansas City, Missouri went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2018 at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 20 days. Pat was born on January 21, 1940 to Siebert and Lauretta Tuncil Byerly in St. Louis, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Donald Eugene Massey on December 5, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri at the church she attended all of her life, Berea Temple Assembly of God. Her mission and joy in life was to assist her husband as he pastored churches. She felt that her calling in life was to support his ministry behind the scenes and out of the spotlight. She also worked various administrative assistant positions through the years and volunteered at the churches where her husband was a senior pastor; St. Louis, O'Fallon, Kansas City and Trenton, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Donald Massey; and one brother, John Byerly.

She is survived by her five children, Susan Canupp and husband Trent of Kansas City, MO, Diane Crenshaw of Kansas City, MO, Laura Gooch and husband Marti of Liberty, MO, Karen Jensen and husband Casey of College Station, TX and Donald S. Massey of Lake Ozark, MO; eleven grandchildren, Megan Turner and husband James, Heather Spain and husband Chad, Austen Gooch, Garrett Crenshaw, Molly Royse and husband Clint, Jordan Gooch and wife Mallory, Caitlin Canupp, Jack Jensen, Kate Jensen, Logan Massey and Kayla Massey; three great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Gwendolyn Spain and Kaia Turner; brothers-in-law, Paul Massey and wife Carol of Wentzville, MO and David Massey and wife Nancy of Lake Ozark, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "Turn Your Eyes upon Jesus" and "How Great is our God" was sung and played by Trent Canupp. Other music of "It is Well with my soul" was played. Memories were shared by daughters, Susan Canupp and Karen Jensen.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery.

Honored to be casket bearers were grandsons, Austen Gooch, Garrett Crenshaw, Jordan Gooch, Jack Jensen and grandsons-in-law, Chad Spain and Clint Royse with grandson, Logan Massey and grandson-in-law, James Turner as honorary.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
