William "Bill" Dale DeClue, Sr.

William "Bill" Dale DeClue, Sr. passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 in Fenton at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 15 days. Bill was born July 1, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to William Robert and Gracie Beck DeClue. On May 2, 1970 in Potosi, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Joyce Coffman and to this union three sons and one daughter were born.

Bill worked at Brown Shoe Company for several years. He attended the United Baptist Church outside Steelville. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing on Dry Creek. Throughout the years, he spent so much of his time outdoors whether it was camping, hunting for mushrooms or enjoying a bar-b-que with all of the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tracy Ann DeClue; one brother, John DeClue; and one sister, Janet Richards.

Bill will be sadly missed by his wife of almost forty-eight years, Joyce DeClue of Steelville; three sons, William "Will" DeClue, Jr. and wife Maria of Pacific, MO, Eric DeClue and wife Briana of Cuba, MO and David DeClue of Steelville, MO; two brothers, Jim DeClue of Potosi, MO and Bob DeClue and wife Georgia of DeSoto, MO; one sister, Judy Owens; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Elsie Turnbough officiating. Special music of "Grandpa", "Daddy was never a Cadillac kind", "Where Have You Been", "Go Rest High", "How Can I say Goodbye" and "Love Me" was played. Memories were shared by son, David DeClue and brother-in-law, Bill Coffman.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery.

Honored to be casket bearers were David, Will, Eric, Jim, Bob and Justus DeClue.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
