Brenda Lee Gillam, 48, of Steelville, MO passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 at the St. Claire Health Center in Fenton, MO. She was born September 14, 1961 to Howard Roney Ray Gillam and Shirley Jean Laney Gillam. She was a member of the VFW Gun Club in Cuba. Brenda enjoyed spending her time on the computer, sewing and playing with her dog, Rosco and her cat, Tom Tom. Most of all she loved being with her children. Brenda will be sadly missed by her son, Jessie Gillam of Cuba, MO; her daughter, Sabrina Hearst and husband Kevin of Cuba, MO; two brothers, William Howard Lawrance Gillam and friend Reba of Steelville, MO and Howard Gillam Jr. and friend of Cuba, MO; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and special friend Vernon Abney. Visitation was from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Frank Vance officiating. Special music of "In the Sweet By and By", "What A Friend" and "You Are My Sunshine" were played and sung by the Chosen Generation. Memorials may be given to the funeral home for expenses.
