Hallie Jean McInnis was born at home on the McInnis farm in Huzzah November 9, 1944, the youngest child of Hester and Haskell McInnis, sister of Donald, Mary, and Dick McInnis.  She attended Huzzah Grade School, Steelville High School, and earned her education degree at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield.  In 1969, Jean married Bill Slowensky and moved to the Slowensky farm, from which she commuted daily for many years to teach in the Steelville School system.  Jean died in Barnes Hospital July 4, 2014, predeceased by Bill in 2005.  They are survived by their son, John Slowensky, Rolla H.S. Band Director, his wife Molly, and their daughter Riley.

A private family burial was held.
