James "Jim" Lee Treadway, 80, of Brumley, MO, formerly of Viburnum, MO passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Lake Hospital in Osage Beach, MO. He was born October 31, 1929 in Wellston, Mo to Harry Edward Treadway Sr. and Margaret Dempsey. He was united in marriage January 25, 1958 to Barbara Marie Northington who passed away in March of 2003. Jim served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959. He worked for AMAX Lead Co. of Boss for many years and retired in 1982. Jim was a member of the Hickory Grove Assembly in Bixby, MO. He is survived by his two sons, James Phillip Treadway of Brumley, MO and Ronnie Treadway and wife Tina of Marshall, AR; two daughters, Dianna Kim Morrow of Brumley, MO and Sheila Lynn Treadway and husband Ron; four step-children, Robert David Baker and wife Rose of Wentzville, MO, Paul Edward Baker and wife Pam of Courtois, MO, Rose Lawanda Kincy and husband Steve of Jackson, MO and Linda Diane Crocker of Potosi, MO; one brother, Harry Treadway, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Darlene Ackley of O'Fallon, MO and Lydia Moyer of Hillsboro, MO; nineteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Marie; one son, Mark Anthony Treadway; and three brothers, Ted, Jack and Bill Treadway. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2009 with Rev. Jerry Metcalf at the Dudley Cemetery in Dudley, MO.
