Jane Anne Smith, nee Hancock, of Salem, Missouri passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Salem at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 14 days. She was born March 17, 1930 in Hannibal, Missouri to Roy U. Hancock and Lillie Pauline Powell Hancock. On April 15, 1949 in Hannibal, she was united in marriage to Frank Roy Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Roy Smith; three brothers; and two sisters.

Jane was employed for several years as a clerk at Boeing in St. Louis and retired from there in 1990. She was a member of and attended Victory Baptist Church in Cherryville.

She is survived by two sons, Roy Smith of Farmington, MO and Jonathan Smith and wife Mindie of Salem, MO; one daughter, Misty Smith of Salem, MO; three grandchildren, Corban Smith of Arkansas City, KS, Zoe Panky of St. James, MO and Summer Smith of Kentucky; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

The Family chose cremation as the final disposition with no services. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Grandview Burial Park in Hannibal, MO.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
