Obituary

Lori Lee "Loretta" Anderson, nee Santhuff, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL at the age of 73 years. She was born January 1, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri to Jessie Lyman Santhuff and Mary Matildia Goodson Santhuff.

After high school, she moved away and started her family and eventually had three children. She was very musically talented and loved to sing and play her guitar..  Her dream was to become a singer and later in life she was fortunate enough to make recordings of two songs, "Raleigh you're not Easy" and "When you do something wrong, Do it right."

Lori Lee loved to cook and was good at it. Her favorite foods to serve were chicken and dumplings and "Hawaiian slaw." One thing she did not like was having to clean up the dishes. When she was younger she would always have to take a nap after eating which meant her sisters had to do the dishes. She also enjoyed decorating whether it was her home or friends and family.  Lori Lee was also known to always have time to visit and drink coffee with all who knew her..

She is survived by two sons Eddie Ackerman and wife Beverly of New Baden, IL and Rod Ackerman Jr. of Hilo, HI; one daughter Linda Kahooilihale of Hilo, HI; two brothers Bob Santhuff of Steelville, MO and Ronnie Santhuff of Sinton, TX; two sisters Joyce Bouse of Steelville, MO and Delores Goad and husband Don of Cedar Hill, MO; one sister-in-law Pat Santhuff of Piedmont, MO; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Bill Santhuff; one sister Shirley Faye Monroe and husband Lyman; sister-in-law Lelah Santhuff; and brother-in-law Ron Bouse.
