Mildred "Tootsie" Yvonne Stricklin, nee Williams, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at Gibbs Care Center. She was born January 23, 1923 in Bernie, Missouri to Noland Gustavus Williams and Elise May Tanner Williams. She was united in marriage in 1945 to William Thomas Stricklin in Keywest, Florida. Tootsie was a member of the Christian Church in Flat River, MO. She always enjoyed quilting, gardening, feeding the hummingbirds and taking care of  her family. She is survived by three sons, Delmar "Butch" Stricklin and wife Becky of Fayetteville, NC, Thomas Stricklin and wife Janice of Madison, AL and Joel Stricklin and wife Vickie of Bismarck, MO; son-in-law, Butch Fishwick of Steelville, MO; daughter-in-law, Lavern Stricklin of St. Genevieve, MO; sister-in-law, Lucille Williams of Fulton, MO; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Thomas Stricklin; two sons, Dennis Randy Stricklin and William Joseph Stricklin; one daughter, Carolyn "Jeannie" Fishwick; two brothers, William Bloyce Williams and Delmer C. Williams; and one sister Dale Fields and husband William Orville Fields. The Family received friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. Graveside services were held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington, MO with Rev. Alan Miles officiating. Committal prayer and interment were in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington, MO. Honored to be casket bearers were Joseph Schlee, Jack Schlee, Julius Schlee, Dylan Stricklin, Aaron Stricklin and Eric Stricklin. The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
