Patrick "Wayne" Sherrill of Viburnum, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at his home at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 29 days. He was born April 15, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas.

Wayne was employed as a diesel mechanic for thirty-five years working in Kansas and Missouri. He was raised in El Dorado, Kansas where he attended high school and the First Christian Church. As a young boy, he enjoyed spending summers and weekends at his grandparents, Jasper and Lavisa Taylor's home. He loved throughout his childhood playing with airplane models that flew and enjoyed working with motors as a young child.

He was preceded in death by parents, Jack C. Ward and Rosie June Wells Ward Holm; one son, Jared Patrick Sherrill; two brothers, David and Mike Sherrill; grandparents, Jasper and Lavisa Taylor; and father and mother-in-law, Doris and Bill Blue.

He is survived by his son, Wesley Sherrill of Steelville, MO; one sister, Patricia Johnson of Park City, KS; grandchildren, Autumn, Carile, and Wesley; other relatives and friends.

A Memorial visitation was held from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. A prayer was given by Rev. Jerry Beers.
