Richard Thomas Bohnenkamp, 74, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009 at his home in Cherryville, MO. He was born September 22, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to Elmer and Jean Bohnenkamp. On September 14, 1982, he was united in marriage to Dorothy (Dottie) Townsley in Cherryville, MO. Dottie survives at their home. He is also survived by three sons, Dan Bohnenkamp of St. Charles, MO, Mike Bohnenkamp of O'Fallon, MO and Mark Evans and wife Rosa of Rolla, MO; one daughter, Diana Lea and husband Rick of Cuba, MO; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Richard was a firefighter in the city of St. Louis and retired in August of 1986 after twenty-six years. A private family burial was held Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Freeman Cemetery in Cherryville, MO. Prayers were by Father James Finder. Casket bearers were Mark Evans, Dan Bohnenkamp, Mike Bohnenkamp, Mark Evans Jr., Michael Evans and Andy Bohnenkamp. The family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
