Susan "Susie" Joyce Blanton of Steelville, Missouri left this life Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Gibbs Care Center. Susie was born September 17, 1950 in Sullivan, Missouri to Roy Lewis Blanton and Julie Mae Harman Blanton. Susie attended the Berryman Assembly of God Church and always looked forward to attending with her family and nieces and nephews. She enjoyed following the St. Louis Cardinal baseball team, playing Bingo, coloring in her coloring books and watching wildlife. She will be sadly missed by her sister, Donna Harper and husband Charles of Steelville, MO; sister-in-law, Christine Blanton of Steelville, MO; four nieces, Rebecca Barton and husband Chad and Erin Harmon and husband Robert all of Steelville, MO, Roxanna Hock and husband Jory of Licking, MO and Jennifer McCallum and husband David of Cuba, MO; one nephew, Mike Davis of Steelville, MO; other relatives, friends and the caring friends from Gibbs Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leonard Roy Blanton; brother-in-law, Phillip Alan Davis; and nephew, Jason Blanton The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Perry Lewis officiating.  Special music of "Amazing Grace" was played by Dave Bishop on harmonica and Charles Harper on guitar. Other music of "I Can Only Imagine" was also played and "Jesus Love Me"  was sung by the congregation with Phyllis Gibbs on piano and Dave Bishop on guitar. Committal prayer and burial were in the Liberty Cemetery, Steelville, MO. Honored to be casket bearers were Chad Barton, Mike Davis, Robert Harmon, Dalton Harmon, Scott Barton, Dustin Davis and Jory Hock. The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
