Alma Marshall Obituary

Alma Katherine Marshall, nee Halbert of St. Charles, Missouri passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 in St. Louis at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 18 days. She was born April 1, 1937 in St. Louis to Eddie Joshua Halbert and Mabel Florence Lewis Halbert. On February 14, 1959 in Columbia, Missouri, Alma was united in marriage to Jesse Marshall, Sr. and to this union two children were born.

Alma graduated from University of Missouri Columbia and had been a Home Economics teacher in the St. Charles Public Schools. She was a member of the Faith Methodist Church in St. Charles, MO. Alma enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking and fishing. She also loved traveling and camping in every state and many places in Europe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Mabel Halbert.

She will be missed by her husband of almost sixty-one years, Jesse Marshall, Sr. of St. Charles, MO; one son, Jesse Marshall, Jr., of Steelville, MO; one daughter, Beth (Mike) Frohbieter of Fenton, MO; one brother, Lewis (Orien) Halbert of Billings, MO; three grandchildren, Nathan (Heather) Frohbieter, Matthew (Ashlee) Frohbieter and Emily (Brian) Pelham; other relatives; and friends.

Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2020 at the Pleasant Point Cemetery with Rev. Linda Potter officiating. Special music of "Amazing Grace" and "What a Day that Will Be" was sung by Brian Pelham, Ashlee Frohbieter and Al Marshall.

With the COVID-19 pandemic and Governor Parson's issuance of an order limiting the number of persons at a gathering to less than 10 people, please be respectful of each other and maintain a safe distance. The Family plans to have a memorial sometime this summer to celebrate Alma Katherine Marshall's life.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Pleasant Point Cemetery, Steelville, MO.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
