Betty Elizabeth Walker (Yowell) Sellers

Betty Elizabeth Walker Sellers, nee Yowell, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 in her home at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 26 days. She was born October 16, 1938 at Vida, Missouri to Everett Yowell and Betsy Nokas Yowell.

On February 15, 1954, she was united in marriage to Ronald Lee Walker and to this union they had two sons. Ronald Lee passed away in 2002 and in October of 2024, Betty remarried to Homer Sellers, who recently passed in 2025.

For many years, Betty and Ronald lived in St. Louis where she owned a house cleaning business, retiring in 1995 to Berryman, MO.

Betty attended the Berryman Assembly of God Church where she was a member for over 30 years. She always enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and researching her family genealogy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Betsy Yowell; son, Randell Lee Walker; her husbands, Ronald Walker and Homer Sellers; brothers, Albert Yowell, Mark Yowell, James Lee Yowell, Amos Yowell, Everett Yowell, Alvis Yowell and Ralph Yowell; sisters, Bessie Yowell, Syliva Yowell Madeling, Jessie Yowell, Thelma Scott and Sharon Goodall.

She is survived by her son, Alan (Kimberly) Walker of St. Louis; one brother, Charlie Yowell of Cuba, MO; 9 grandchildren, Randell Walker, Jeremy Walker, Maria Walker, Jason Walker, Megan Love, Cody Bailey, Kenny Bailey, Russell Bailey and Matt Bailey; 24 great-grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.

The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026 with Rev.  Bob Coleman  officiating. Special music of "Old Rugged Cross", "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art" was played.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Salem, MO.

Honored to be casket bearers were Jeremy Walker, Jacob Walker, Randy Walker, Ray Love, Jake Rosen and Chad Barton.
