Charles Elmer Martin, Jr.

Charles Elmer Martin, Jr., age 80 years, 1 month and 30 days, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at his home. He was born June 11, 1944 in Steelville to Charles Elmer Martin, Sr.

Charles was employed in security at Doe Run in Viburnum for several years.

He loved working on cars and motorcycles and enjoyed riding his Harley. He also enjoyed working on model cars in his spare time.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Martin, Sr.; wife, Sharon Kay Martin; and step-sister, Francis Mae Hoffman.

He is survived by two sons, Charles A. (April) Martin of Viburnum, MO and Billy Joe (Donna) Martin of Springfield, MO; brother, Chris (Donna) Martin of Florida; step-brothers, Eugene Monroe Newton and Norman Newton; stepchildren, Tiffany Clark, Jamie Garion, Danny Carter and Donnie Carter; two step-grandchildren, Garion Beatty and Dwight Beatty; two nieces, Charlene Martin and Christina (Brian) Isgrigg; and great-nephew, Shaun Isgrigg, other relatives; and friends.

Graveside services were held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Martin-Trask Cemetery with Rev. Bob Coleman officiating.

Interment was in the Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.

The Martin Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
