Charles "Charlie" Gipperich Obituary

Charles “Charlie” Edward Gipperich of Steelville, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 6 days.  He was born March 13, 1949 in St. Louis to Thomas Gipperich and Catherine Hoppe Gipperich. On March 25, 1984 in Overland, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Brenda Gail Dobbs.

Charlie was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 688.

In his younger years, Charlie loved music and played in a band in St. Louis. He loved playing the guitar, keyboard, harmonica and singing. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Catherine Gipperich; son, James Gipperich; two brothers, Danny Gipperich and Thomas Gipperich; and two sisters, Virginia and Dianne Gipperich.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of thirty-seven years, Brenda Gipperich of Steelville, MO; two sons, David (Nichole) Gipperich of Pacific, MO and Steven Gipperich of Rolla, MO; step-son, Jason Tew of California; step-daughter, Michele Tew of Pilot Knob, MO; two brothers, Vernon Gipperich of Overland, MO and Robert Gipperich of O’Fallon, MO; three sisters, Kathy Brooks of O’Fallon, MO, Susie Means of Florissant, MO and Jackie Corey of Arizona; nine grandchildren, Robert, Patrick, Kaitlyn, Sunset, Suna, Joseph, Shawn, Claire and Ethan; two great-grandchildren, Karson and Rawlings; other relatives; and friends.

The Family chose cremation as the final disposition.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

The Gipperich Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
