Curtis “Doogie” Dale Burrow, age 71 years, 6 months and 10 days, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at his home in Cuba, Missouri. He was born October 6, 1954 in Corning, AR to Cleveland and Ethel Marie Pankey Burrow.
On December 15, 1976, he was united in marriage to Sherry Lee Garrison and they were blessed with two sons and one daughter. After 46 years of marriage, Doogie lost the love of his life, Sherry.
“Doogie” attended the Steelville First Assembly of God for several years.
He was employed throughout the years with an abundance of knowledge from working as an iron worker, auto mechanic, builder in construction and as an electrician.
He always enjoyed his time Bass fishing, working on small engine repairs or making sure his lawn was a perfect cut.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Ethel Burrow; wife, Sherry Burrow; father-in-law, William Herschel Garrison; brothers, Cleveland (Theresa) Burrow, Bob Burrow, Bill Burrow, Harold Burrow, Lowell (Jim Warren) Burrow, Mervil Jr. Casteel and Danny Burrow; sisters, Donna (Kenny) Thomas, Faye (Louis) Wiseman and Bonnie Shelton.
He will be lovingly missed by his two sons, Curtis Wm. (Andi Harley) Burrow of Cuba, MO and Herschel (Jamie) Burrow of Tulsa, OK; daughter, Crista (Mike) Chew of Cuba, MO; sisters, Mary (Sonny) Hutchings of Steelville, MO and Margaret (Jim) Harmon of Cherryville, MO, Kathy Burrow and Lana Edwards of Paragould, AR, Rosetta (Lamar) Davis of Tulsa, OK and Louetta (Robert) Bauer of Windsor, MO; mother-in-law, Betty Garrison of Steelville, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike (Karen) Garrison of Cuba, MO, Billy (Patty) Garrison of Eureka Springs, AR, Kevin (Amy) Garrison of Steelville, MO, Fayetta (Kenny) Large of Cuba, MO, Kelly Howard, and Lisa (Colin) Vandegriffe all of Steelville, MO; grandchildren, Malachi (Wynter) Burrow, William (Tessa) Chew, James Burrow, Andy Chew and Jasper Harley-Smith; great-grandchildren, Colsyn Chew and Daisy Strother.
The Family received friends from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
A Memorial Service was held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 19. 2026 with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "On the Wings of a Dove", "Far Side Banks of Jordan" and "Go Rest High" was played. Memories were shared by Curtis (Andi Harley) Burrow and Malachi Burrow with another family member and a friend.
Doogie’s wishes for his final disposition was cremation.
