Darlene Carol (Lenox) McInturff

Darlene Carol McInturff, nee Lenox, of Viburnum, Missouri passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 25 days. She was born May 18, 1946 in St. Louis to Arthur and Bernice Lenox.

She was united in marriage to Roy McInturff in St. Louis and to this union two sons were born.

Darlene graduated from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis. She had worked at various jobs in the area. For a few years, she was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Later, she attended Lighthouse Gospel Tabernacle in Viburnum.

She enjoyed spending time coloring with her sister-in-law, Pat. Darlene loved being a mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Bernice Lenox; husband, Roy McInturff; two sons, Larry Gene McInturff and Kenneth Earl McInturff; and two brothers-in-law, Gary Sneed and Paul Rook.

Darlene is survived by her brother, Larry Lenox of Viburnum, MO; three sisters, Kim (Don) Brown of St. James, MO, Kathy Rook of Cuba, MO and Barbara (Ed) Meuse of Sullivan, MO; sister-in-law, Pat Sneed of Viburnum, MO; two grandchildren, Nathan and Brandi McInturff of Dexter, MO; nephews, William Rook, Timothy Springer, Nick Sethfield Lenox, Kevin Sethfield Lenox and Larry Lenox, Jr.; nieces, Lisa Setzer, Kimberly Springer, Denise Duvall, Kristen Duvall, Sherry Douglas, Amanda Lenox and Sheila Lenox; several great nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., May 26, 2023 at the Light House Gospel Tabernacle outside of Viburnum, MO with Pastor Sharon Hedrick officiating. Special music of "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Garden" will be sung by Sharon Hedrick and Johnny Setzer.

Inurnment will be in the Leasburg Cemetery, Leasburg, MO at a later date.

The McInturff Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
