Darlene Mae Younce, 74, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Friday, December 13, 2024 at her home.
She was born July 8, 1950 in Cherryville, Missouri to Noah and Jessie Dunlop Callahan.
She and Charles Gordon Younce were married August 26, 1968 at Cherryville, Missouri.
She was a graduate of Cherryville High School.
She worked at Schnucks in the deli department for 15 years and Ralph Edwards for three years.
She was a member of LaCroix Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Gordon Younce of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Charles Gordon Younce Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Benny Younce and Bobby (Mollie) Younce both of Jackson, Missouri; two sisters, Barbara (Larry) Elder of Cedar Hill, Missouri and Ruby (Lawrence) Reed of Cuba, Missouri; sister-in-law, Shirley Callahan of Cherryville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brittany Younce, Hunter Younce, Khloe Younce, Landon Younce, Sawyer Younce and Greer Younce; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Callahan; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Younce; and a niece, Christie Callahan Smith.
Visitation was held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Ford & Son Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
A visitation was also held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
The Funeral Service followed at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steeleville, Missouri with Pastor Harrison Brown officiating. Special music of "Amazing Grace", "In the Sweet Bye and Bye" and a medley of songs were sung by Bob and Carol Coleman with Bob on guitar.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Martin-Trask Cemetery in Cherryville, Missouri.
Honored to be casket bearers were Gordy Younce, Benny Younce, Bobby Younce, Hunter Younce, Shawn Triplett and David Triplett.
The Younce Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
