Deloris Stricklin Obituary

Deloris Gale Stricklin, nee Crocker of Cherryville, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Missouri Baptist Hospital Sullivan at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 6 days. She was born March 22, 1958 to Robert Lee Crocker and Jessie Lee Hedgecoth Crocker.

As a teenager, Deloris attended Viburnum First Baptist Church during the time when she gave her life to Christ.

Deloris graduated from the 1976 Class at Viburnum High School. In October of 1976, she was united in marriage to Jessie “Eddie” Stricklin and to this union one son and one daughter were born.

After working for a number of years at Burger King, California Manufacturing and San Val, she retired from Versa Tag.  She was always known to be a hard worker, no matter where she was employed.

Deloris enjoyed working on jig-saw puzzles, watching movies, listening to music and playing video games on her phone. Most of all she loved to take care and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jessie Crocker; two brothers, Orville Crocker and Joseph Crocker; sister-in-law, Valerie Crocker; and brother-in-law, Don Harmon.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Eddie Stricklin of Cherryville, MO; one daughter, Amanda (Dayne) Kilbreth of Steelville, MO and one son, Thomas “Tom” Stricklin of Leasburg, MO; 3 grandchildren, Hanna (Matt Martin) Fox, Darion (Taylor) Fox and Kyle (Lessa) Fox all of Steelville, MO; 3 great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Nathaniel and Odin; brothers, James Robert Crocker of Licking, MO, David (Rebecca) Crocker of Steelville, MO, Russell (Wanda) Crocker of Cuba, MO and Steven (Sharon) Crocker of Czar Tower, MO; sisters, Goldie (Roger) Parrett of Steelville, MO and Jane (Larry) Conner of Rolla, MO; many nieces, nephews; other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Friday, January 2, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. Special music of "Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" was sung by Bob and Carol Coleman. Other music of "Go Rest High" was played.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 2, 2026 with Rev. Bob Coleman officiating.

Committal prayer and interment were in the New Home Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.

Honored to be casket bearers were Tom Stricklin, Jeff Bucknew, Jimmy Collins, Gary Richards, Sean Bonner and Russell Crocker.

The Stricklin Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.
