Donald Crowder Obituary

Donald Eugene Crowder of Davisville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Phelps Health in Rolla at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 27 days. He was born February 1, 1953 in Sullivan, Missouri to Marvin Robert Crowder and Olive May Kitchen Crowder.

Don graduated from Sullivan High School in 1972. After high school in March of 1973 Don entered the U.S. Army and served his country honorably until March of 1976 along with serving in the 82nd Airborne Paratrooper Division. During his years in the Army, he worked as a mechanic on generators, air compressors, electrical systems, AC for wiring up tents and buildings to generators and  graduating from Bailey Tech in 1977. Don learned many areas of automotive electronics, battery rebuilding, small engine repair and was an Honor graduate at defensive driving school and also graduated from Mack Truck Co. in 1989.

In March of 1978, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Hill and to this union four sons and one daughter were born.

Don was employed as a diesel mechanic, working for Beaufort Trucking Company and other companies, retiring after 40 plus years in that industry.

He loved to hunt deer and turkey and  especially squirrels.

Donald attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church in Cherryville for several years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Olive Crowder; and two brothers, infant Darryl Crowder and Gary Crowder.

He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Pat Crowder; four sons, Joshua Daniel (Alesha) Crowder and Caleb Paul Crowder all of Davisville, MO, Elijah David (Allison) Crowder and Jonathan Stephen (Alissa) Crowder all of Viburnum, MO; one daughter, Sarah Elizabeth (Brad) Mounce; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Kennie (Hazel) Crowder and Larry (Virginia) Crowder all of Sullivan, MO; one sister, Karol (John) Blanton of Bourbon, MO; other relatives; and friends.

Don chose cremation as his final disposition.

There will be a private family memorial at a later date.

The Crowder Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
