Edna Ann Hanna of Cuba, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 in her home at the age of 66 years, 6 months and 19 days. Edna was born November 6, 1957 in St. Louis to Eugene and Mabel Ballard Hanna.
She grew up in Viburnum, Missouri and graduated from the Viburnum High School.
She attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church in Cherryville.
Edna had worked at Country Mart in Steelville since it had opened and retired from there in April of 2024.
Edna loved taking care of her dog with many long walks. She enjoyed watching NCIS and Matlock, doing Word Search, fishing and baking the family’s favorite cookies and fudge. She also loved sponsoring a Christmas dinner each year for a family in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mabel Hanna; her infant son, Jason; brother, Edward “Butch” Hanna; and sisters, Linda Green and Debbie Aksoy.
She will be lovingly missed by her daughter, Heather (Tyrone) Popejoy of Topeka, KS; three sisters, Brenda (David) Rogers of MS, Edie Vowell of Philadelphia, MS and Sondra (Greg) Mischke of Steelville, MO; brother-in-law, Dan Green of Sullivan, other relatives; and many friends.
Graveside Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024 in the Martin-Trask Cemetery with Rev. Harrison Brown officiating. Special music of Heavenly songs were sung and played by Bob and Carol Coleman. Interment was in the Martin-Trask Cemetery.
The Hanna Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
