Edward “Ed” Kendall Carr, age 87 years, 1 month and 27 days, of Steelville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Rolla. Ed was born October 27, 1933 in Cook Station, Missouri to Walter Irving Carr and Elsie Grayson Carr. On June 16, 1962 in Steelville, he was united in marriage to Carol Roper and to this union three daughters were born.

Ed served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was employed at St. Joe Mines for twenty years and later went to work for the Steelville School System as a mechanic for thirteen years. He was a long time active member of the Steelville First Baptist Church when his health permitted him to attend and where he was a deacon. Ed enjoyed working on electronics, reading and cross word puzzles, fishing on the Meramec, sports and being a diehard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.I. and Elsie Carr; one daughter, Kathryn Carr; four brothers, Glen (Wanda) Carr, Kermit (Ellenor) Carr, Calvin Carr and James Carr; two sisters, Virginia (Ted) Norris and Leota (Robert) Land; brothers-n-law, Ralph Luke and Larry Garms.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of fifty-eight years, Carol Carr of Steelville, MO; two daughters, Robyn (Mark) Ramos of Los Angeles, CA and Elizabeth (Grant) Isherwood of Columbia, MO; two sisters, Myrna Luke of Indiana  and Joyce Garms of Steelville, MO; sister-in-law, Liz Carr of CA; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives; and friends.
