Edward "JR" Allen Brown, Jr.

Edward “JR” Allen Brown, Jr. of Cherryville, Missouri passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 in his home at the age of 40 years. J.R. was born January 28, 1980 in Murray, Kentucky to Edward A. Brown, Sr. and Brenda Lea Calahan Brown.

JR had attended the Cherryville Church of God. He always loved working on cars and over the years he collected Zippos lighters, swords and bayonets. He also enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Brown; paternal grandparents, Edward Charles Brown and Norma Jean Clark and maternal grandfather, Madison Guy Calahan; uncle, William Brown; and nephew, Zackary Brown.

JR is survived by his father, Edward A. Brown, Sr. of Belleville, IL; one brother, Michael Brown of Pacific, MO; one sister, Cindy Lea Brown of Granite City, MO; Special friend, Katrina Meeks of Cherryville, MO; grandmother, Lucille Calahan of Cuba, MO; Aunts and Uncles, Connie (Daniel) Bell of Cherryville, MO, Jimmy (Shelly) Calahan and Timothy Calahan all of Steelville, MO, Dennis (Stephanie) Calahan of Cuba, MO, Charlie Brown and Cindy Pyatt; many nieces, nephews, other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 with Rev. Clifford Bridgeman officiating and Delphia Bridgeman reading the obituary. Special music of "Family Bible" and "Peace in the Valley" was played and sung by Dave Callahan.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery.

Honored to be casket bearers were Chris Brown, John Turnbough, Glenn Gebhardt, Barry Evans, Phillip Quiroz and Beau Staub.
