Emma Rebecca (Callahan) Williams

Emma Rebecca Williams, nee Callahan, of Cherryville, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025 in her home at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 1 day. She was born August 2, 1934 in Cherryville to Arvel Callahan and Villia Emma Bryant Callahan.

Emma was united in marriage to Kenneth Eugene Williams on May 17, 1952 in Cuba, MO and to this union two sons were born.

Emma grew up with a large family in Cherryville and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was a long-time collector of holiday Barbies and ornaments. Emma kept a meticulous home and was a wonderful mother, a kind, helpful sister and adored by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvel and Villia Callahan; her husband, Kenneth Williams; daughter-in-law, Karol Williams; four brothers, Clarence (Joan) Callahan, Robert Callahan and infants Gene and Junior Callahan; four sisters, Rosetta (John) Hubert, Loretta (Jim) Spearman, Lillie Hernandez and infant Nella Callahan; sisters-in-law, Barbara Callahan, Blanche (Paul) Long, Faye (Ralph) Abney and Francis Hawkins; brothers-in-law, Frank Hunter and Clyde (May Rose) Willliams.

She will be lovingly missed by her two sons, Dale Williams of Newburg, IN and Jeff Williams of Cherryville, MO; brother, Ray Callahan of Steelville, MO; sister, Ima Hunter of Kirkwood, MO; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Callahan of Cuba, MO; other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.

The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 with Rev. Rodney Martin officiating.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, MO. Honored to be casket bearers were Jeff Williams, Dennis Callahan, Brian Williams, Dennis Mason, Daniel Carl, Ed Hubert and Josh Palecki.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Family.
