Eugene "Mike" Mikeal Casarotto, of Lebanon, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Cox Health in Springfield at the age of 49 years, 5 months and 17 days after a short illness. He was born February 28, 1972 in Rolla, Missouri to Eugene Ray “Geno” Casarotto and Maudie Jean Oxendine Casarotto. On November 18, 2016 in Springfield, he was united in marriage to Debra Guel.
Mike had graduated from Richland High School and was of the Baptist faith. Mike had been employed at Emerson in Lebanon for several years. He enjoyed tinkering with tools, watching wrestling and movies, fishing and reading about Native Indian history. Most of all he loved being with his sons and all of his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maudie Casarotto; grandparents, James and Lorraine Oxendine and Hector and Wilda Casarotto; uncles, Jerry Casarotto, Donald and Helen Oxendine and Joseph Kies; step-grandchildren, Aaliyah Marie Daye and Jasheh Daye; and step-daughter, Mariah Lynn Taylor;
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Debra Casarotto of Lebanon, MO; his two sons, Dante and Jacob Casarotto of Lebanon, MO; two step-sons, Jordan Taylor of Lebanon, MO and John Albert Taylor, Jr. of Dixon, MO; his parents, Geno and Wanda Casarotto of Cuba, MO; two step-sisters, Lesa (Darren) Schroyer and Christy (Scott) Pilkenton all of Cuba, MO; uncle Larry and Sue Casarotto and cousin, Jason Casarotto all of Cuba, MO; aunts, Marilyn and Charles Chase of California, MO and Ruby Oxendine Kies of St. George, UT; Special cousins, Tammy Oxendine Irvin and Karen Oxendine Koch, both of Steelville, MO; brother-in-law, Luis (Griselda) Guel III of Irving, TX; sisters-in-law, Rosa (Daniel) Santiago and Andrea Guel all of Irving, TX; other relatives; and friends.
The Family received friends on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "Peace in the Valley" sung by Uncle Jerry Casarotto on CD, "Jealous of the Angels" and "Go Rest High" was also played.
The Family chose cremation as the final disposition.
