Garnath "Yvonne" (Turnbough) Stagner

Garnath “Yvonne” Stagner, nee Turnbough, of Battlefield, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 13 days. She was born April 2, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to Floyd and Viola Kreamalmeyer Turnbough.

Yvonne was of the Pentecostal faith. She was employed in a factory that made vending machine parts in Mountain View for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Viola Turnbough; two brothers, Terry (Heidi) Turnbough and William Turnbough; one sister, Florence Gray; sister-in-law, Becky Turnbough; and brother-in-law, Charlie Hawkins.

She will be dearly missed by her two sons, Bob Stagner of Battlefield, MO and Jerry Dale (Sherrie) Stagner of Batesville, AR; one daughter, Angela Dawn (Travis) Young of Battlefield, MO; four grandsons, Joseph Stagner, Joshua Stagner and Jared Stagner and Nathan Fyffe; one great-grandson, Justin Stagner; five brothers, Michael Turnbough of St. Charles, MO, Ricky Turnbough of House Springs, MO, Ralph (companion, Ruby) Turnbough of Barnhart, MO, Robert (Sandy) Turnbough of Brookport, IL and Floyd (Shelly) Turnbough of Homewood, AL; one sister, Edith Hawkins of Fenton, MO; brother-in-law, Don Gray of Indianapolis, IN; sister-in-law, Marcella Turnbough; other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

A Celebration of Life was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023 with Mr. Joseph Stagner officiating. Special memories were shared by Joseph Stagner and Bob Stagner. Music of "When I Get Where I'm Going", "Knew All Along" and "The Prettiest Flower" was played. The Service was Live streamed on the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home Facebook Page.

An inurnment will be in the Freeman Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.
