Jason Lynn Hewkin, age 39, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 in Cuba. He was born October 29, 1981 in St. Louis to Lynn and Ruby Carol, nee Cole, Hewkin. He was united in marriage to Jennifer Boxx Hewkin on February 21, 2014.
Jason was known for his kind heart and would do anything to help others. His family loved his wicked sense of humor. Jason had a beautiful singing voice just like so many of the Hewkin family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Silas (Clella, nee Greenwood) Hewkin parents, Lenny and Carol Hewkin; aunts, Darlene Cape, Eloise Garms and Naomi (Walter) Boll; uncles, Buster (Vera) Hewkin, Donald (June) Hewkin, Rodney Hewkin, Homer (Leora) Hewkin and Jim Hewkin.
Jason is survived by his wife, Jennifer, of Sullivan, MO; three step-children, Austin Boxx, Freddy Davis and Katlynn Davis; aunts, Colleen (Glen) Woolbright of Manchester, MO and Marilyn Hewkin of Cuba, MO, uncles, Jim Cape of Cuba, MO and Jay Garms of Sullivan, MO; many cousins, other relatives; and friends.
A Graveside inurnment service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021 with Pastor Terry Mahurin officiating in the Turnbough Cemetery, Davisville, MO. Special music of “ You are not Alone” was sung by Terry and Joanie Mahurin.
The Hewkin Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home.
