Jesse Eugene Barnett

Jesse Eugene Barnett of Davisville, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 in his home at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 7 days. He was born September 8, 1957 in Royal, Missouri to Louie and Edna Stender Barnett. On June 6, 1981, he was united in marriage to Robin Hewkin in Allenton, Missouri and to this union one daughter was born.

Jesse graduated from St. James High School in 1975. He served honorably in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was employed at Chrysler in St. Louis as a National Benefits Rep., retiring in 2009 after twenty-five years. He was a member of the American Legion in Davisville, MO and active member of the Republican Caucus, Local 110 and had attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Edna Barnett; brothers, Ed Barnett, Wilburn Barnett, Delbert Barnett; sister, Roxie Gray; brother-in-law, Melvin Matlock; and step-sister, Judy Messer.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Barnett of Davisville, MO; daughter, Jaime (Kyle) Turnbough of Viburnum, MO; two grand-daughters, Hailey and Keira; siblings, Delman (Lynda) Barnett, Dave (Kellie) Barnett, Velda (Gene) Kossuth, and Darlene Matlock all of St. James, MO, Ronnie (Shawna) Barnett of WA and Geraldine (companion Kathy) Barnett of Rolla, MO; sister-in-law, Jackie Barnett of St. James, MO; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 with Rev. Bob Coleman officiating. Special music of "More Than Anything" and "Sweet By and By" was played and sung by Bob and Carol Coleman.

Committal prayer, interment and Full Military Honors with the U.S. Army and Patriot Guard was at the Turnbough Cemetery, Davisville, MO
