Judy Marie (Bobbitt) Chandler

Judy Marie Chandler, nee Bobbitt, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in the St. Louis Missouri Baptist Hospital at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 11 days. She was born May 27, 1949 in Davisville, Missouri to Louie Bobbitt and Margaret Callahan Anderson.

Judy was united in marriage to Lonnie Chandler on May 14, 1966 in Steelville and to this union two sons and one daughter were born.

She was a member of the Parents of Murdered Children which was very important to Judy. She enjoyed working on crafts and staying at home. Most of all she loved her time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie Bobbitt and Margaret Anderson, husband, Lonnie Chandler, one son, Lonnie Chandler; sister, Faye (Utah) Cassidy; brother-in-law, Sam Starks; sisters-in-law, Sharon Starks; and infant Starks.

Judy is survived by her son, Tony Chandler of Steelville, MO; and daughter, Shawna (Chris) Prope of Lehigh Acres, FL; three grandchildren, Lonnie Chandler II, Johnna (Neal) Livingston and Katelyn Chandler; two great-grandchildren, Derricka Chandler and Trent Schumway; one brother, Bill (Kathy) Anderson of Steelville, MO; one sister, Diane (Bill) Barton of Salem, MO; brother-in-law, Michael (Debbie) Starks of Cuba, MO; and stepsister, Cindy Hammock of Steelville, MO; other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "Prop Me Up by the Juke Box", "Life Turned Her That Way" and "Peace in the Valley" was played.

The Family chose cremation as the final disposition.

The Chandler Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
