Kimberly “Kim” McMillen, age 50, passed away on August 22nd, 2020 in her home at St. James, MO surrounded by her loved ones. Kim was born on March 18th, 1970 in Farmington, MO to Joe and Kathy Troutt, and grew up in Dillard, MO. She joined Jeff McMillen in marriage on June 6th, 1992 in Viburnum, MO and they began their life together in Shirley, MO.
Kim was employed at Steelville Manufacturing in Steelville, MO in the beginning of their marriage, then Purcell Tire in Potosi, MO for several years following. Together they had three girls - Madison, Abigail, and Gracie. Their life together led her family to move to St. James, MO in 2002 where Kim began working for the family business, Troutt & Sons, Inc., as a secretary and bookkeeper.
Kim loved jet boating, side by side riding, and most importantly helping others. The few organizations Kim was involved in include: Boating For Buddies, Inc., Founder/President, founded in 2007, Parent Teacher Community Organization of St. James School District for many years beginning in 2008 and Riding for a Reason beginning in 2015 as a Founding Board Member and Secretary.
Kim is preceded in death by her Great Grandparents; Ed & Abbie Burns, Great Grandparents; Erb & Gertrude Troutt, Grandparents; Earline & Virgil Murray, Grandfather; Jim Jobes, Grandparents; Clive & Doris Troutt, and Mother-in-law; Joyce McMillen.
Kim is survived by her husband; Jeff McMillen, three daughters; Madison, Abigail, and Gracie McMillen, one grandson; Waylon Robison, parents; Joe & Kathy Troutt, brother; Chris (Robin) Troutt, all of St. James, MO and Father & Mother-in-law; Lowell & Jane McMillen of Caledonia, MO, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The Family received friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Roger Silvery officiating. Special music of "Love can build a Bridge", "Good Hearted Woman", "Somebody's Hero" and "I hope you Dance" was played. Memories were shared by daughter, Madison and J.T. Gunter.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Shirley Union Church Cemetery, Potosi, MO.
Honored to be casket bearers were Dillon Parry, Lance Cottrell, Greg Portell, Jeff Jones, Patrick Rosener, Brian Gibson, Ernest "Weezer" Hampton and Jim Fleshman. Honorary bearers were Richie Troutt and John L. McMillen.
