Linda Faye (Baker) Wilkinson

Linda Faye Wilkinson, nee Baker, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Steelville Senior Living at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 14 days. She was born July 19, 1945 in Steelville to Darmon James Baker and Erma Gladine Cassidy.

In November of 1961, she was united in marriage to Harry E. Brown, Sr. and to this union two sons and three daughters were born.

Linda was employed at Brown Shoe for several years.

She was a woman of faith and Christian values who accepted Christ as her Savior about a year and a half ago.

Throughout the years, Linda enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing cards, playing her guitar, dancing, singing Karaoke and loved going to the river for camping to fish and cook outdoors.

Most of all she loved her family and seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Darmon Baker; and her mother, Erma Halbert.

She will be missed by her two sons, Harry E. Brown, Jr. of Steelville, MO and Darmon John Brown of Cherryville, MO; three daughters, Linda Brown of Owensville, MO, Nellie Malin of Cuba, MO and Marsha (Matthew) Brock of Branson, MO; one brother, Terry Halbert of Steelville, MO; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 with Pastor Jeremiah Wilson officiating. Special music of "Go Rest High" and "Come, Jesus, Come" was played.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.

The Wilkinson Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.
