Marie Goldie Randolph, age 81, of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 in Festus, Missouri. She was born May 25, 1939 in St. Louis to Elmer L. Wood and Goldie E. Gregory Wood.
Marie attended the Steelville Assembly of God when living in Steelville. She loved reading her Bible, going for walks, watching soaps on TV, going to yard sales and thrift shops and finding a good sale. Most of all she loved being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a special friend, Jack C. Whaley; and a brother, Bill E. Wood.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Melvin of St. Louis, MO; three daughters, Michele Dickens of St. Louis, MO and Gina Fellenz and Krystle Whaley of Steelville, MO; seven grandchildren, David Barron of Rolla, Nicole Bray and Brittany Dickens of St. Louis, MO, Briana Helms of Steelville, MO, Jasmine Whaley, Jacklyn Chew and Jolene Chew all of Springfield, MO; six great-grandchildren, Nickolas, Natalie, Sophia, Scarlett, Ameila, and Lincoln; other relatives; and friends.
A Memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "Amazing Grace", "Old Rugged Cross", "How Great Thou Art" and "Chances Are" was played. Memories were shared by Michele Dickens.
