Marion Dorothy (Eaton) Hutson

Marion Dorothy Hutson, nee Eaton, of Cherryville, Missouri passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 in her home at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 23 days. She was born September 26, 1946 in Waynesville, Missouri to Noel Edward Eaton and Anna Lampe Eaton. Marion was united in marriage to Howard Hutson on July 14, 1967 in Cuba, Missouri and to this union one son was born.

Marion graduated from Steelville High School in 1964. She was a member of the Steelville Presbyterian Church. During her lifetime she had been employed at Cuba Shoe, Western Auto, Gladden’s Green House and for several years Bill’s Dollar Store. In earlier years Marion enjoyed playing first base on the summer softball league and bowled in the winter league. She also loved being outside working in the yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Anna Eaton; brothers and sisters in-law, Bob Phenix, Richard Ogle, Gail Hutson, Dovie Mae (Ed) Conaway, Grace Rogers, Edith Cornick and Bernice Dierking.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Howard Hutson of Cherryville, MO; one son, Michael Hutson of Cherryville, MO; one grandson, Clayton Hutson of Cherryville, MO; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Mary) Hutson of Berryman, MO, Rainey (Brenda) Hutson of Cuba, MO, Dave Cornick, Liz Phenix and Ceil (Sidney) Ransom all of Steelville, MO and Pat Ogle of Sullivan, MO; other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Go Rest High" was played.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery.

Honored to be casket bearers were John Phenix, Mike Cornick, Tony Ransom, Scott Phenix, Robert Cornick and Mike Rabe.
