Michael "Mike" Albert Quinton

Michael “Mike” Albert Quinton of Steelville, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Steelville at the age of 47 years, 11 months and 8 days. He was born February 2, 1973 in Rolla, Missouri.

Mike was self-employed. He loved being outdoors whether hunting, fishing or being on the river. He also enjoyed making wood carvings.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Whitman; the father who raised him, Arthur Whitman; one brother, Jimmy Quinton; two sisters, Vickie DeCoscer and Patty Simpson; brothers-in-law, Greg Mehas and Kenneth Setzer; and special friend, Jim Jones.

Mike is survived by his children, Steven Lough, Dalton Quinton and Janelle Quinton all of Cherryville, MO and Shane Zellmer; three brothers, Kenny Whitman of Phoenix, AZ, Jeff Whitman of Pacific, MO and David Whitman of Steelville, MO; six sisters, Brenda (Gordon) White of Blue Eye, MO, Judy Mehas of Bourbon, MO, Barbie (Wayne) Hardin of Steelville, MO, Laura (John) Hindhorst and Chris West (Bobby James) all of Pevely, MO and Donna Setzer of Cuba, MO; his companion of many years, Ginger England; special friends, Johnny Hutchinson, Andy Helms, Glen Robertson, Tony Chandler and John Schoen; nieces, nephews, cousins, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The Family received friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with Barb Hardin, John Schoen and Bro. John Brice officiating. Special music of "Time of you Life", "Drift Away" and "Mama, I am coming home" was played.

The Family chose cremation as the final disposition.
