Mildred Marie (Adams) Greenwalt

Mildred Marie Greenwalt, nee Adams, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in her home at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 24 days. On June 29, 1931, Mildred was born in Butts, Missouri to Robert “Bob” and Lottie May Isgriggs Adams. On April 30, 1948 in Hardy, AR, Mildred was united in marriage to Harold Greenwalt and to this union seven children were born.

Mildred was a stay-at-home mom loving and taking care of her children. She had attended Steelville First Assembly of God throughout the years. Mildred enjoying reading, working in her yard and doing puzzle books. Most of all she loved being around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Greenwalt; parents, Bob and Lottie Adams; her son, David (Ella Jo) Greenwalt; two brothers, Clarence Ray and Bill (Geneva) Adams; and one sister, Ruth Newman.

She will be sadly missed by three sons and three daughters, Roger (Nancy) Greenwalt of Potosi, MO, Ronald (Janie) Greenwalt of Steelville, MO, Larry (Martha) Greenwalt of Sullivan, MO, Karen (James) Rice of Union, MO, Connie (Phillip) Watson of Versailles, MO and Judy (Charles) White of Steelville, MO; eleven grandchildren, Christopher (Casey) Greenwalt, Melissa Greenwalt, Rodney (Cyndia) Greenwalt, Jeremy (Andrea) Greenwalt, Duane (Katie) Stovall, Terry (Samatha) Rice, Jill Rutledge, Tammy (Bruce) Volner, Matthew (Elizabeth) Watson, Brian White and Brent White; twenty great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Edna) Adams of Steelville, MO; other relatives; and many friends.

The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 25, 2022 with Pastor Jerry Beers officiating.  Special music of "Scars in Heaven", "Holes in the Floor of Heaven", "Amazing Grace" and "Go Rest High" was played. Special memories with poems were shared by grandchldren, Jill Rutledge and Brent White.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery.

Honored to be casket bearers were Rodney Greenwalt, Jeremy Greenwalt, Terry Rice, Brent White, Matt Watson, Christopher Greenwalt and Duane Stovall.
