Nina Delight McPherson of Cherryville, Missouri passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 4 days. She was born December 6, 1930 in Cherryville to James and Eura Halbert Conaway. On January 23, 1968 at the Crawford County courthouse, Nina was united in marriage to Clarence “Dail” McPherson.
She had attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church at one time. Nina was one of the founders of the Ozark Trail Blazers. She loved her horses and rode in the Harvest Festival Parade for many years. Nina enjoyed farming, raising chickens, ducks, geese, cows and goats. She spent many years living and working on the farm that she shared with Dail and their family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Eura Conaway; and husband Dail McPherson.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Dail (Billie) McPherson of Steelville, MO; one daughter, Jimalee Deann McPherson of Cherryville, MO; two grandchildren, Madalyn McPherson of Steelville, MO and Josh (Amber) Whitman of Cuba, MO; two great-grand-children; other relatives; and friends.
The Family received friends for the combination Memorial visitation for Nina and Jimalee which was held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
A Celebration of Life service was held at 6:15 p.m. with Rodge Quertermous officiating. Special music of "In the Sweet Bye and Bye", "If we Ever Meet Again" and "On Eagles Wings" was played by Nancy Quertermous on piano.
The Family chose cremation as the final disposition.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the local Steelville Historical Society towards the new museum, P.O. Box 893, Steelville, MO 65565.
