Patsy May (Moses) Carl

Patsy May Carl, nee Moses, of Kansas City, MO passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 6 days.  She was born on July 26, 1940 to Lawrence Moses and Nellie Yount Moses.  She grew up in Courtois, MO and graduated in 1958 from Valley High School in Caledonia, MO.  On November 22, 1958, she was united in marriage to Gilbert “Dale” Carl and to this union three children were born.

Patsy was of the Christian faith.  She enjoyed a variety of activities including crocheting, sewing, Sudoku, road trips and puzzles, but above all things, she loved going on walks.

She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Gilbert “Warren” Carl and wife Dana of Jefferson City, MO and Mickey Carl and wife Elette of San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Tammala Castro and husband Chris of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Barbara Moses of Hillsboro, MO; 11 grandchildren, Shanna Heard, Whitney Pruitt, Jaylee Castro, Natasha Carl, Rebecca Saaty, Stacy Saaty, Suzanne Maldonado, Casey Thurman, Tiffany Davidson, Matthew Hamill and Courtney Dukes; 21 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings: Bonnie Lane, Bobby Moses, Donald Moses and an infant brother Leo Moses. 

The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with family member, Barb Moses, officiating. Special music of "Far Side Banks of Jordan" and "I Can Only Imagine" was played. Live streaming for the service from Britton-Bennett Funeral Home Facebook page is available.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Viburnum Cemetery in Viburnum, MO.

Honored to be pallbearers were Chris Castro, Joey Gillam, Wyatt Moses, Don Moses Jr., Shawn Nelson and Max Gruschka.

The Carl Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
