Perry Dwayne Barton of Davisville, Missouri passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025 in his home, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 16 days. He was born October 4, 1953 in St. Louis, MO to Eldon Abraham Barton and Bonnie Harris Barton.
Perry graduated from Hillsboro High School.
On November 21, 1986, he was united in marriage to Rhonda Brown in Hillsboro, MO.
Perry owned a construction company for several years and was a builder.
He grew up attending churches in Hillsboro, St. Louis and Midland Church for several years and in the last year, he and Rhonda had attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church and Berryman Pentecostal Church.
Perry always enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and loved music whether playing his guitar or singing for the Lord. His family meant so much to him and he loved the time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Barton; his mother, Bonnie Barton and father-in-law, Ronald D. Brown.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 39 years, Rhonda Barton of the home; two sons, Chad (Rebecca) Barton of Steelville, MO and Daniel (Kandis) Barton of Davisville, MO; one daughter, Sarah (James) Queen of Berryman, MO; nine grandchildren, Scott (Katie) Barton, Crystal (Jacob) Brown, Jonathan Barton, Amber Barton, Nalah Chandler, Dominic Henry, Lexi Queen, Josiah Barton and Jeremiah Barton; three great-grandchildren, Kelly, Marshall and Alayna; a brother, David (Julana) Barton of Springfield, MO; two sisters, Glenda (Joe) Green of Davisville, MO and Jeanne (Bob) Duemler of Sullivan, MO; sister-in-law, Shirley (Jerry) Valentine of Desloge, MO; brothers-in-law, Ronald J. Brown, Jr. of Cherryville, MO and John M. Brown of Pevely, MO; nieces, nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
The Family will received friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 and from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday, September 25 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with Pastor Harrison Brown and Rev. Bob Coleman officiating. Special music of "The Closer I Get the Better I See" and "Far Side Banks of Jordan" was sung by the Bishop Family, Dave & Ella Jo Bishop and Tracy Brawley and "Beulah Land" and a Medley of Songs was sung by Bob and Carol Coleman
Committal prayer and interment will be in the Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.
Honored to be casket bearers were Chad Barton, Daniel Barton, Scott Barton, Jonathan Barton, Bradley Green, Stanley Green, Ronnie Brown and Justin Turnough.
The Barton Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
