Robert “Bob” Lee Earney of Steelville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Steelville Senior Living Center at the age of 101 years, 7 months and 17 days. He was born December 12, 1918 in Wesco, Missouri to Treff and Myrtle, nee Edwards, Earney. Bob was united in marriage to Edna Sease of Steelville, MO, who passed away in 1963. He married Olga Cilke Spongberg on June 19, 1964 in St. Louis, MO.
Bob served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946 in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a member of Berea Temple Assembly of God Church in St. Louis for many years where he was a deacon and taught Sunday School. Upon retirement, Bob and Olga moved to Steelville and attended the First Assembly of God Church where they were involved with visitation and drove the Senior Citizen van. He enjoyed collecting and polishing rocks. He was a train enthusiast, collecting and restoring old model trains. Most of all he loved his family and they loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Treff and Myrtle Earney; his first wife, Edna Earney and his second wife, Olga Earney; one son, Glenn Earney; one brother, Billy Christopher Earney; three sisters, Alline (Sody) Finocchiaro, Hester Sanders, and Vivian (Jack) Barr; a brother-in-law, Dusty Frank; and a step-mother, Norma Lea Earney.
He is survived by three daughters, Reba (Donald) Ballard of Beebe, AR, Glenda (Rev. Stanley) Cox of Rogers, AR and Joy (Frank) Puleo of St. Charles, MO; daughters-in-law, Tracy Earney of St. Charles, MO and Bernadine McCoy of DeSoto, MO; two brothers, Lloyd (Charlotte) Earney and Treff (Sandy) Earney all of Steelville, MO; one sister, Esther Frank of Steelville, MO; brother-in-law, Howard Sanders of Steelville, MO; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews; other relatives; and friends.
The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
Funeral services were held at 12:00, Noon, on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Stanley Cox officiating. The obituary was read by Angela Evans along with her memories being shared and others in the family. Special music of "Blessed Assurance" and "Amazing Grace" was sung by the congregation lead by Rev. Stanley Cox with Becky Simpson on piano. The service was Live streamed on the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home Facebook page.

Committal prayer and interment with Full Military Honors by the U.S. Navy were in the Steelville Cemetery.
